Chilseong Market

The Chileseong Market has seven different lesser markets within the complex and dates back to the Japanese occupation period. This is a great place to purchase agricultural products and the markets within the complex are Daegu fruits and vegetable market, Apple market, Buk-Mun market, Samsung market, and Kyeonghyeong market. And yes, you get apples at the Apple market -- hardly a fact worth mentioning -- however, the specialty of this place is that very high quality apples are auctioned at really affordable rates here.

E-Mart

E-Mart is major shopping centre where you can purchase almost everything under the sun. With eight branches across the city, there’s a good chance you’ll have an E-Mart somewhere close to you.

This specialty zone was created in 1970 and the market began to take shape early in the 1980s. There are a number of stores here retailing different types of fashion jewelry at a number of different price ranges. Seomun Market

Seomun Market is one of the most popular traditional markets in Daegu and has been around since 1669. It was moved to its current location back in 1920 and has more than 3,500 shops selling all kinds of items. This place is always crowded but you can find great deals on non-branded as well as branded items such as clothes, shoes, and bags.

Yangnyeongsi Medicine Market

This herbal medicine market has been around since 1658 and is also one of largest markets in Daegu with a number of oriental tea shops, oriental pharmacies, and restaurants. You can purchase a number of different herbal medicines ranging from ginseng to magic mushrooms here. On days ending with 1 and 6 a sale takes place in the exhibition hall downstairs.

Yasi Golmok Street

Yasi Golmok Street has a number of clothing stores and boutiques that sell some of the latest styles of clothing as well as footwear on the market. This alley is where you can find the really hip and young type of clothing really cheaply and despite the low prices, all the stuff you purchase here is of great quality. The street also has a number of karaoke bars, pubs, and cafés where you can relax during breaks in between your shopping. The only downside to this street is that most of the stores only cater to women.

XN Milano

XN Milano is a 14-storey mega mart with more than 600 fashion shops, seven multiplex theatres, and a number of other entertainment facilities.
