Jungsik Dang is a fine-dining restaurant in Seoul that utilises a mix of Korean and Western cooking methods and ingredients, delivering neo-Korean dishes with avant-garde presentation. Hailed as one of Asia’s 50 best restaurants in 2015, diners can enjoy full course lunches and dinners that are priced between 50,000 won and 180,000 won with wine pairings available at an additional 90,000 won.
Hidden within a quiet alley in Gangnam, the service here is impeccable and unobtrusive. Interior-wise, the restaurant is very chic and classy with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Dosan Park, as well as a private room for diners who prefer a more intimate setting.
Jungsik Dang’s tasting dinner menu is priced at 150,000 won onwards, where guests can enjoy sea urchin bibimbap (traditional dish of rice, meat, and vegetables), samgyeopsal (crispy pork belly with assorted pickled vegetables and trumpet mushrooms), and Jeju crispy snapper.
For dessert, Jungsik Dang’s signature chocolate mousse is a must try. Served up in tiny traditional kimchi pots made from chocolate, the ensemble is beautifully decorated with cake crumbs and edible flowers.

To get to Jungsik Dang, take the subway to Apgujeong Station (Subway Line 3), Exit 2 before taking bus No. 3422 to Dosan Park. The restaurant is located on the third floor of a commercial building nearby the park within the trendy Sinsa-dong, Gangnam district.
